Bamford Flatiron began as a development company in Dover NH when it built its first apartment building on land purchased from Bill Hopkins in 1984. From that point, Dave Bamford began the process of buying and selling smaller buildings in order to purchase larger business blocks in Upper Square at 446 Central Avenue (The Morrill Block) and 488 Central Avenue (The Holy Rosary Building). Eventually Bamford and Kevin McEneaney built a five-story luxury commercial and apartment building known as Riparia at 100 First Street which began the rebirth of Dover’s downtown luxury apartment construction in 2014. Since that time, Bamford And McEneaney have joined forces with the Hopkins Family to build Rivers’ Mark, a mixed-use luxury commercial and apartment complex. The construction of Rivers’ Mark completed the campus build out of the Cocheco River First Street development site in mid-2020.
